BIO

I am a visual artist and educator. My artwork uses video, installation, performance and community-based practices to investigate issues surrounding ecological crisis and environmental justice, and to explore the role of embodied, psychological, and cultural points of view and belief systems in determining the kinds of worlds we experience and build.

I am currently a Lecturer at Rice University’s Center for Environmental Studies, where I teach about justice in the food system and the role art plays in this issue. Before joining Rice, I worked as a Lecturer at UCLA’s Department of Design Media Arts from 2020-2023, where I taught courses on ecological arts and design, environmental justice, media studies, and visual communication.

I received a BA in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, studied Graphic Design at Art Center College of Design, and received an MFA from UCLA in Design Media Arts.
